Representing Bowls Leicestershire at the National Finals in Royal Leamington Spa as winners of the County Triples were Geoff Howlett, Terry Whiteside and Jim Keogh. The trio defeated Cornwall “A” in the first round before falling to a good Surrey “B” in the second round.
2018 will see the green open later than normal due to the decision to re-lay the green after it closed last season. On 16th April Nicki Morgan MP opened the new club and it’s facilities with a symbolic “raising of the new club flag”. An excellent turnout by members made for a memorable day and they watched Nicki Morgan bowl the first wood of the season to formally get the day’s bowling under way.
